About Roadway Life
About What is Roadway Life?

Roadway Life is an independent agency that partners with a national broker network and many A-rated life insurance companies. We’re not a carrier — that means we can compare options across companies and recommend what fits you best.

About Which companies do you work with?

We regularly shop well-known carriers including Mutual of Omaha, Americo, North American (NLG), F&G, Transamerica, Ethos-powered products, and others through our broker partners. Availability varies by state and product.

About Are you available in my state?

Yes — we have licensed agents in all 50 states. Some products aren’t approved everywhere; we’ll show what’s available for your location during your quote.

Life insurance basics
Basics What types of coverage can I get through Roadway Life?
  • Term Life — budget-friendly coverage for a set period (10–30 years).
  • Whole Life — lifetime protection with guaranteed cash value growth.
  • Indexed Universal Life (IUL) — flexible premiums with index-linked cash value.
  • Final Expense — simplified whole life for smaller, permanent coverage.
  • Annuities — fixed & fixed-indexed designs for income and principal protection.
Basics How much coverage can I get?

Most households we help land between $100,000 and $1,000,000. Across our carriers, the general range is about $25,000–$5,000,000, depending on product, age, health, income, and state approval. Your licensed agent will size a number that fits both your goals and budget.

Basics What’s the difference between Term, Whole Life, and IUL?
  • Term: Coverage for a set number of years; no cash value; lowest cost per dollar.
  • Whole Life: Lifetime coverage; guaranteed cash value; steady premiums.
  • IUL: Lifetime coverage; flexible payments; cash value credits based on an index with downside protection (caps/fees apply).
Applying
Apply How does the process work?
  1. Start online — tap Start applying and answer a few basics.
  2. Talk to a licensed agent — we shop multiple carriers and present options.
  3. Apply & e-sign — many approvals are quick with simplified underwriting.
Apply Do I need a medical exam?

Many applicants qualify with simplified underwriting (no exam) — just health questions and electronic checks. Some situations still require labs; we’ll route you to the fastest path available.

Apply How fast can I get covered?

It can be as quick as a few minutes to a few days for simplified cases. Fully underwritten applications may take longer depending on medical records and carrier timelines.

Drivers & underwriting
Drivers I’m an owner-operator. Anything special I should know?

We work with drivers, owner-operators, and spouses every day. Irregular income, DOT physicals, and time away from home are normal. Your agent will help position your application and budget a design that fits your route.

Drivers Is IUL underwriting harder?

IUL generally requires more underwriting than term or small whole life. Expect deeper health/financial review and product suitability checks. If speed is your priority, we’ll show simplified alternatives too.

Drivers Can I text my agent?

Yes — texting is often the fastest way to keep things moving. You’ll receive your agent’s direct line after you start an application.

Policies & claims
Policy Who handles claims?

Claims are handled by the insurance carrier that issued your policy. Your Roadway Life agent can help you notify the carrier, gather documents, and track progress.

Policy Are riders like living benefits available?

Often, yes. Options such as chronic/critical illness, accidental death, waiver of premium, and more may be available depending on product and state. Your agent will show which riders make sense for your case.

Policy Are annuities available through Roadway Life?

Yes. We offer fixed and fixed-indexed annuities through select carriers for principal protection and lifetime income strategies. Product availability and rates vary by state and carrier.
